Spotlight Players Community Theater, Inc is excited to present, The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged), the record breaking comedy hit by the Adam Long, Daniel Singer & Jess Winfield, featuring all of William Shakespeare’s 37 plays in 97 Minutes! The production will be presented March 3 ONLY at 8:00 pm at the Columbia High School Auditorium, 92 Luther Road, East Greenbush, NY, 12061.

The show stars three of the Capital District’s leading comedic community theater actors, Adam Coons, Eric Shovah and Brian Sheldon, who take turns portraying every single role from all of Shakespeare’s plays. An irreverent, fast-paced romp through the Bard's plays, The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged), has been called "wildly funny", and "the funniest show you are likely to see in your entire lifetime" and “just plain funny” and “my god so funny”. The audience will be treated to segments from Romeo and Juliet, Othello, King Lear and A Midsummer’s Night Dream to name a few.
 (Note: THIS IS A COMEDY)

Spotlight Players is under the auspices of the East Greenbush Central School District Department of Continuing Education. The organization recently elected a new board, comprised of local residents, Ferne Dutkin (President), Michael Mensching (Vice President), Joanne Peal (Secretary) and Michael McDermott (Treasurer). Members at large include Joanne Mensching, Ric Bello, Shawn Hahn, Doug Porter and Ginnie Austin. The new board is committed to rapidly expanding the offerings of the organization and broadening the role that theater plays in the local community. This production is indicative of the quality that the organization hopes to bring to local community entertainment options.

Future productions will include the crowd pleasing Gilbert and Sullivan’s, The Pirates of Penzance, coming July 12—14, directed by Michael Mensching, and featuring an innovative musical direction with some of the actors serving as the musical accompaniment. Just two week later the troop will produce the hilarious, Nunsense, by Dan Goggin, a deliciously offbeat take on the travails of a group of singing “sisters”.

Tickets for The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) are $10 and can be purchased at the door or by calling 229-4779. This production is best appreciated by audiences 13 years old or older, due to the mature -- and rather bawdy -- subject matter being presented.

Warning!: This show is a high-speed roller-coaster type condensation of all of Shakespeare's plays, and is not recommended for people with heart ailments, bladder problems, inner-ear disorders and/or people inclined to motion sickness. We simply cannot be held responsible for expectant mothers or the faint of heart!
