SCHENECTADY --- The Mop & Bucket Improv Co. proudly begins their season with
Theatresports (tm) at Proctors Upstairs at 440 on Saturdays in October (6,
13, 27) & November 17th.

 

Theatresports (tm), a raucous format combines the magic of improv and the
heart-stopping competition of a great sporting event.  Local celebrities
will judge and score the improv teams, resulting in a winner.  Winners
receive the official MopCo trophy, valued at $1.25.

 

The celebrity judge roster as of today: 

*	Oct. 6th: Yvonne Perry 
*	Oct. 13th: Valerie Keehn and Anne-Marie Barker-Schwartz. 
*	Oct. 27th: Parker Cross and the Honorable J. Ohrenstein. 
*	November  17th: Benita Zahn and Susan Arbetter.

 

Upstairs at 440 is a 100-seat acoustic performance space located at the 440
Arts Center on State Street. Part of Proctors, this space will be available
for rentals for dance recitals, smaller graduations, cabaret performances
and company meetings. It will also be host to a new series of intimate,
regionally exclusive theatre performances. It is set to open in Autumn of
2007.

 

Theatresports was created by Keith Johnstone, TM & Copyright 1970-2002.  All
Rights Reserved Exclusively licensed by International Theatresports
Institute.

 

 

About The Mop & Bucket Company:

The Mop & Bucket Company (MopCo) is the Capital Region's premiere
improvisational theatre company, dedicated to creating spontaneous,
one-of-a-kind entertainment for audiences of all kinds.  Known for its
eclectic mix of short and long form improv, MopCo performs both

sport) and Spontaneous Broadway (full-length improvised musicals), and
