Auditions for SEUSSICAL Jr.
(Tuition based program)


Coming December 14th, 15th & 16th to Genet Elementary School in East Greenbush.  

 
Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty have lovingly brought to life all of our favorite Dr. Seuss characters, including Horton the Elephant, Gertrude McFuzz, Lazy Mayzie, and all of the Whos of Whoville! The score emerges as a Seussian Gumbo of musical styles, ranging from Latin to pop, swing to gospel, and R&B to funk! So let your toes tap, your fingers snap, and you’re imagination run wild for “Oh, the thinks you can think, When you think about Seuss!”

Auditions for children ages 6-18 years old are scheduled for Wednesday, September 26th and Friday, September 28th from 6-8pm at Genet Elementary School, Route 4, East Greenbush.   Tuition for this production is $150, with $75 payable at the audition, the balance will be due at the first read through.  If your child is not cast your uncashed check will be returned to you within 7 business days.   There are approximately 35-40  available roles in this show. Rehearsals are evenings and an occassional weekend day only.  (days vary to allow for participation by all interested children)

Children should come prepared with a song to sing (accompanist provided, or can sing something as simple as Happy Birthday!)  and ready to move if asked.   No prior experience is required to audition for this exciting holiday show.   

There are also a very limited number scholarships available for children needing financial aid.  Please contact CAPS if interested in this opportunity.  

*2 Parent Production Assistant positions are also available on a first come first served basis.  These parent assistants will work rehearsals and help chaperone children in exchange for tuition.  Contact CAPS if interested.
