Join us for a rousing entertaining farce set aboard the S.S. American, as SLOC Musical Theater ends their 2007-2008 season with Cole Porter's musical comedy, Anything Goes.  
 
The age-old tale of Boy-Meets-Girl and the complications which ensue intrigue every audience, and no musical puts it on stage better than Anything Goes! This show is an amusing story wrapped around one of Cole Porter's most magical scores.  It's a wonder that all the romances are sorted out and disaster is averted aboard the magical ship where Anything Goes! Featuring such classic  songs as "Anything Goes", You're the Top" and "I Get a Kick out of You."  
 
Director Eric Shovah and Musical Director Cathy Mele craft a wonderful evening of entertainment that features some of the finest talent in the capital district community theater community.  This production is highlighted by the return to the stage, in the lead role of Billy, by one of SLOC's most creative directors, Michael Mensching.  Laurie Burns gives a stellar turn as Reno Sweeney, and Bob Hegeman (Sir Evelyn) and Casey Dinkin (Hope), add to the romantic quadrangle which gets straightened out by the show's end.  Adam Coons provides comedic relief as Moonface Martin, along with his moll, Heather D'Arcy as Bonnie.  Bill Hickman (Whitney) and Rita Russell (Mrs. Harcourt) round out the lead players.  As an added achievement, in a true demonstration of their creative talents, both Mensching and D'Arcy played double roles off-stage-- Mensching as Set Designer and D'Arcy as Choreography.  Sure to delight and leave you humming, this production is a treat for
 audiences of all ages!
