ALBANY --- The Mop & Bucket Improv Co. presents Spontaneous Broadway on
Saturday, May 3 at 8 p.m., as a fundraiser to benefit the Leukemia &
Lymphoma Society of Upstate New York/Vermont. MopCo is offering reduced
admission to this special show.
Created by MopCo's Kat Koppett in association with Freestyle Repertory
Theatre Co. in NYC, the show is a fictional "backer's audition" for a new
Broadway musical. Audience members invent song titles for Broadway musicals
on the fly for performers to immediately improvise. Then, the audience will
"vote" with checks made out to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society The song
receiving the greatest total donations will form the basis for an entire
improvised musical, performed in Act II.
This allows MopCo to charge only $9.95 at the door, all of which goes to
benefit Leukemia and Lymphoma research. It's a benefit; bring your checkbook
because the show with the most donations is the one you'll see in the Act
II.
This even is being underwritten with the generous support of Mobile Air
Transport, Inc., http://www.mobileairtrans.com
