THE MOP & BUCKET CO. ANNOUNCES 2008-2009 SEASON

ALBANY --- Artistic Director, Michael Burns, and Training Director, Kat
Koppett are pleased to announce The Mop & Bucket Co’s 2008-2009 Season. It
is spontaneous one-of-a-kind entertainment for all audiences.

• 440 Upstairs at Proctors (http://www.proctors.org/places/440)
	Spontaneous Broadway
	September 19, 20, 26, 27 – 8 p.m. 	September 21, 28 – 2 p.m.
	Created by MopCo’s Training Director, Kat Koppett, in association
with 	Freestyle Repertory Theatre Co. in NYC, Spontaneous Broadway is a
fictional “backers audition” for a new Broadway musical. Audience
members invent song titles for Broadway musicals on the fly for
performers to immediately improvise. In the second act, the cast
presents a full-length musical.  Spontaneous Broadway is a virtuoso
piece that challenges improvisers and amazes audiences.
	
	TICKETS:  $15 General Admission;  To place a subscription order,

   	Short-form Show    October 31 – 8 p.m.

	Performers improvise scenes all based on audience suggestions, and
often involving audience members on stage.

	Performers improvise scenes all based on audience suggestions, and

	Theatresports™	    
	February 27, 28, March 6, 7 – 8 p.m.	March 1, 8 – 2 p.m.
	The heart-stopping competition of sports and the magic of
improvisational theatre combine.  Teams of improvisers are scored by
Olympic-style judges (local celebrities or audience members.) and only 	one
team can win.

	Theatresports™ was created by Keith Johnstone, TM & Copyright 1970-

About The Mop & Bucket Company:
The Mop & Bucket Co. has been called the Capital District’s favorite improv
troupe.  In 2008, they were voted #3 “Best Local Comedian or Comedy Troupe”
by the Times Union and Best Bet in 2007 by the Troy Record.  The company is
in residence this year at Proctors, and performs publicly and privately at
various venues around the region.
