CLASSIC THEATER GUILD INC. CLOSES ITS 2009 MAIN STAGE SEASON WITH CHARLES LUDLAM’S LOVING STAGE "TRAVESTY," CAMILLE AT 
440 UPSTAIRS AT PROCTORS 
  
  

CAMILLE, by Charles Ludlam, opens Friday May 22nd and is directed by Richard Morell. The show runs through the weekends of May 22nd - 24th, and May 29th - 31st. Friday and Saturday performances start at 8 PM, and Sunday performances begin at 2:00 PM. 
  

CAMILLE centers around the sad story of courtesan Marguerite Gaultier (played by John Quinan), and her beloved Amrmand Duvalm (played by Derrick Maul). This piece stretches the limits of gender bending and tragic story telling spun in a wonderful web of Ridiculous Theater! 
  
CAMILLE, first mounted in 1973, reveals the old fashioned tale of the fallen woman torn between true love and fast living. Ludlam’s words provoke an extraordinary commentary on sex roles, and the relation of art to life, creating a world of silliness contrasting deep emotional truth.

440 Upstairs at Proctors is located at 440 State Street in Schenectady. Tickets are $15 dollars for adults, and $12 dollars for Seniors, Children ages 12 and under, and groups of 10 or more.
