CAPITAL AREA PRODUCTIONS IS PLEASED TO PRESENT A WICKED WORKSHOP!


This exciting workshop will be held on the evening of MONDAY,  DECEMBER 14th  (exact time to be announced) at St. Mary's Church Hall in Rensselear, NY (across from K-Mart) . This is a private, 2 hour workshop, led by cast members from the current Wicked tour!

Cast members from Wicked will teach the students (aka CAPS friends, cast, families)  a short dance combination from the show. The emphasis will be on acting out the song using dance movement to tell the story. Students will then be taught correct audition techniques including introduction and etiquette, at which time the cast members will hold a mock audition in which students will perform the dance in small groups. This is an outstanding opportunity to hone both dance and audition skills, and the workshop is appropriate for all ages and skill levels! There will also be a Q&A session at the end of the workshop.

 

Cost for the workshop is $30 per person. Due to contract regulations, we cannot allow casual observers, however, you may audit the workshop for $30.  Enrollment is limited, and reservations are being accepted on a first come, first served basis.   To reserve your spot, email CAPS at caps at nycap.rr.com or call 788-1311.  Payment is due by June 1. (Reservations must be confirmed via email or phone before payment will be accepted.) Any reservations not paid by June 1 will be forfeited and offered to the next person on the list. NO WALK INS ALLOWED.

SHOW TICKETS (not required to attend the workshop)

CAPS has reserved a large block of "Orchestra" tickets for the SATURDAY, DECEMBER 19th show at 2pm.  Seats are in the Right Orchestra center starting at Row JJ-  Row F and are available for sale through CAPS for $85 each. Public ticket sales do not begin until September 25 so this is your opportunity to purchase tickets in advance! Weekend shows are not discounted; we are offering you the standard ticket price which includes all processing and handling fees. If you wish to purchase tickets through CAPS, please contact us via email or phone to reserve your seats. (First come, first served!) 50% of your total purchase price is due by June 1; the remainder is due by September 15th. To make reservations call 788-1311 or email CAPS at caps at nycap.rr.com. This is a wonderful opportunity, not only to see Wicked, but to see the cast members from our workshop perform on stage!! 

 

* ALL purchases / deposits paid for tickets or workshops are NON REFUNDABLE!  If you purchase and can not attend, it becomes  your responsibility to try to sell your space/ tickets.  There are NO EXCEPTIONS!  NO CAPS credits/gifts certificates may be used toward ticket purchases, however, they may be used towards the cost of the Wicked workshop.
