[Capdist-announce] FREE play reading at SCP 11/15/09 at 2:30pm

          By George!, a new play by local playwright Betty Pieper, will be read aloud at the historic Stockade District’s Schenectady Civic Playhouse, 12 So. Church Street, Schenectady, on Sunday, November 15, at 2:30 p.m.   It is part of the Playhouse’s New Writers Series and open to the public.  
 
            By George! is about famed inventor and entrepreneur George Westinghouse, with strong Schenectady area roots, whose many achievements included leadership in the introduction and development of alternating current for light and power, and the invention of the air brake for trains. 
 
            Attendees will be able to participate in reading the play aloud for the author to hear her words spoken by live actors, and will also be able to give input and feedback to Ms. Pieper.  Light refreshments will be served.  Admission is free.  No reservations needed.
