Capital Repertory Theatre's Summer Theatre At theRep (S.T.A.R.) is a 5-week summer theatre intensive (based on New York StateEducation Department’s Learning Standards for the Arts) that allows up to 30area youth (aged 11-16) to explore the world of theatre.  Students workwith professional artists to develop their own original work, gaining skills inwriting, costume and set design, dancing, acting, and singing, and the programculminates in a series of performances offered free to the community. Participants learn to work cooperatively with each other and with professionalstaff – right in the theatre.  S.T.A.R. 2010 will explore the theme of Art& Technology!  Field trips are being planned to EMPAC (ExperimentalMedia and Performing Arts Center) and Vicarious Visions Game Studio.


This year’s dates are July 6 – August 8, 2010;8:30-4:30 PM.   Rehearsals take place at the Egg and performanceswill take place on the Capital Rep stage.  Tuition is $850.  If youregister before May 1st there is a discount of $50.  Need-basedscholarships are available.  Limited enrollmentavailable!  Only 10 slots remain!!!
