The ABADA-Capoeira students at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute will be
having a Gala to celebrate their fifth anniversary and to raise money for
Drug and Alcohol Resistance Education for schools throughout the community.
ABADA-Capoeira is an Afro-Brazilian martial arts club that focuses on a
blending of fighting, acrobatics, singing, music, and cunning which keeps its
members active while providing a strong background in Brazilian culture.
It is the hope of the Rensselaer ABADA-Capoeira group to give something
back to the community. Any proceeds that are donated will be used to raise
funds to help educate the children of the community about the dangers of
drugs and alcohol to provide a safe and healthy future for them. We would be
truly honored if you could donate anything towards this cultural and
beneficial event. Thank you very much for your time.
WHEN: Saturday, March 20, 2010 at 6:30 PM
WHERE: Heffner Alumni House, 1301 Peoples Ave., Troy, NY
A minimum suggested donation of $20 will be collected at the door. Cash
or checks only please.
