New Play Festival opens Nov. 12 at Colonial Little Theatre

JOHNSTOWN ---- An Evening of Short Plays will open the 2010 New Play Festival on Nov. 12 at Colonial little Theatre.

The staged readings of new plays by area authors will be presented Friday, Nov. 12 at 8 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 14 at 2 p.m. at the 1 Colonial Court, Johnstown theatre.

The plays:

"The Letter Tree" by Jill Sprotbery. Agnes E. Kapusta-Skiff, director.

"The Holy Father Saves the Day" by Ron Frankel. Tim Orcutt, director.

"The Thirty-Ninth Year" by Anita Hanaburgh. Tim Orcutt, director, and

"The Waver" by Anthonny Pezzula. Tim Orcutt, director.

The ensemble cast includes:

Rose Daly

Katelin Simpson

Pam Broiles

Roz Melita

Bob Scheldt

Matt MacArevey

Bill Hickman

Rocky Bonsal

Daniel B. Martin

Ryan McLaughlin, and

Tim Orcutt

The festival will conclude Nov. 19 and 20 at 8 p.m. with the U.S. premiere staged readings of "Hurricane Gin," an adult comedy by Canadian-born playwright Carl Ritchie.
