Hello Capt-Dist Annoucement readers!
Before I go any further, I wanted to thank all of you for subscribing
and participating in our list-serv.  Both the Auditions and Annoucement
list-servs are providing as a service by the Alpha Psi Omega, Delta Xi
Cast.  
 
Our organization puts on one major production every year, and it opens
NEXT WEEK.  It's gonna be a good one too....the TONY-NOMINATED MUSICAL,
[TITLE OF SHOW] (Yes, [title of show] really is the title of the show.)
(And yes, I've been to the rehearsals...this really is gonna be a great
show!)
 
So, please consider supporting us and buying a ticket for the show.
Also, due to our rider, we can't advertise or annouce in the local
papers, so we're relying on a lot of word of mouth - so please pass this
on to folk who like theater!  See below for all the needed information

The Delta Xi cast of Alpha Psi Omega invites you to.

The AREA PREMIERE of [title of show]! Two weekends only!


[dates]: September 10, 11, 16, 17, and 18, 2010, 8:00pm.

[synopsis]: Jeff and Hunter, two struggling writers, hear about a new
musical theatre festival. However, the deadline for submissions is a
mere three weeks away. With nothing to lose, the pair decides to try to
create something new with the help of their friends Susan, Heidi and
Larry on the eighty-eights.

With the cast in place, Jeff and Hunter begin a conversation about what
to write about. Eventually, Jeff suggests they write about what to write
about. They make a pact to write up until the festival's deadline and
dream about the show changing their lives.

[title of show]-taken from the space on the festival's application form
which asks for the [title of show]-follows Hunter and Jeff and their
friends on their journey through the gauntlet of creative
self-expression. In the span of 90 minutes they write and perform their
show at the festival and learn lessons about themselves as people,
friends and artists.

[title of show] is, above all, a love letter to the musical theatre-a
uniquely American art form-and to the joy of collaboration. The musical
received a Tony Award® nomination for Best Book of a Musical in 2009.
