Troy, NY - February 13th 2011 - The RPI Players and the talented performers
of Sheer Idiocy present an Evening of Performance featuring Soap Opera by
David Ives and A Slap in the Farce by Edouard Martin and Eugene Labiche. The
performances are February 18, 19, 25, and 26 at 8pm and February 20 at 2 pm
and will be held in
the RPI Playhouse on 15th st.

Soap Opera is the tale of a repairman who falls in love with a beautiful
washing machine. Drama ensues though, as the repairman wrestles with telling
his girlfriend Mabel, and the possibility that his beloved washing-machine
is two-timing him with a dryer. Following Soap Opera is the hilarious
improve comedy of the performers of Sheer Idiocy. You'll never know quite
what to expect, but we can promise you one thing: it'll be hilarious.
Rounding out the night is A Slap in the Farce, a satirical comedy about
people and the misunderstanding they manipulate themselves into and out of.

The RPI Players is a student run community theater.  While RPI students are
the primary participants in the organization, auditions and production roles
are open to all community members.
