Young Vivie Warren, emancipated, intelligent and self-sufficient, is astounded
to learn her mother rose from poverty to riches through prostitution - and also
that she is now part owner and operator of a chain of brothels. Mrs. Warren
ably justifies her past - attacking a hypocritical society that rewards vice and
oppresses virtue. Mrs. Warren states that poverty and the society that fosters
poverty are the real villains and that life in a brothel is preferable to life
in a 19th-century factory. Written in 1893, this is Shaw's controversial attack
on society's hypocrisy.

Faith Healerby Brian Friel
Directed by Carol King

Travelling faith healer Frank has gone all over Wales and Scotland with his
wife, Grace, and his manager, Teddy. In their respective monologues, Frank,
Grace and Teddy tell their differing versions of the healer's performances and
of a terrible event that slowly comes into focus. In this darkly lyrical tale,
the author has created a metaphorical portrait of the artist as both creator and
destroyer through the shifting memories of the three characters.

Rumorsby Neil Simon
Directed by Katie Weinberg

Auditions – 11/7 & 11/8/11
Preview 2/9/12
Show dates 2/10-2/12/12, 2/17-2/19/12, 2/24-2/26/12

At a large, tastefully appointed Sneden's Landing townhouse, the Deputy Mayor of
New York has just shot himself. Though only a flesh wound, four couples are
about to experience a severe attack of farce. Gathering for their tenth wedding
anniversary, the host lies bleeding in the other room and his wife is nowhere in
sight. His lawyer Ken and wife Chris must get "the story" straight before the
other guests arrive. As the confusions and miscommunications mount, the evening
spins off into classic farcical hilarity.

The Farnsworth Inventionby Aaron Sorkin

Preview 5/3/12
Show dates 5/4-5/6/12, 5/11-5/13/12, 5/18-5/20/12

It’s 1929. Two ambitious visionaries race against each other to invent a device
called “television.” Separated by two thousand miles, each knows that if he
stops working, even for a moment, the other will gain the edge. Who will unlock
the key to the greatest innovation of the 20th century: the ruthless media
mogul, or the self-taught Idaho farm boy? The answer comes to compelling life
in The Farnsworth Inventionfrom Aaron Sorkin, creator of The West Wing,
playwright of A Few Good Menand Golden Globe winner and Oscar nominated writer
for The Social Network.
