Sperry's Pastry Chef to create specialty dessert for ticket holders to Nacre's benefit Modern Dance performance for the Universal Preservation Hall

Saratoga Springs, NY - Nacre Dance Company will present a spring repertory concert at the Universal Preservation Hall on April 8th and   9th at 8pm and April 10th at 2pm.  To celebrate this event a specialty dessert "Dancer's Delight" created by Sperry's pastry chef will be offered to Nacre ticket holders at Sperry's restaurant at 30 ½ Caroline Street with the purchase of a dinner entrée from April 8-10.
Nacre's concert features Doris Humphrey's "Passacaglia and Fugue" restaged by former Limon Dancer Paul Dennis. Dennis along with area dancer Deb Rutledge will perform the lead roles silhouetted by eleven female corps members and University of Massachusetts at Amherst male dancers Tom Seibold and Jaxon Hall.
The program also includes other memorable works of American Modern Dance such as Isadora Duncan's classic "Southern Roses", Doris Humphrey's dramatic solo "Two Ecstatic Themes " and excerpts from May O'Donnell's  (former Martha Graham dancer) 1959 "Dance Energies" set to the unique music of O'Donnell's husband and composer Ray Greene.  Joining Nacre for "Dance Energies" is visiting male dancers Aaron Nichols (New York Theatre Ballet), Tim Kochka (Carolyn Dorfman Dance Company) and Clint Martin (TAKE Dance.)To complete the program, Nacre will excite the audience with a piece created by 2011 Guest Choreographer and Skidmore alum Caitlin Trainor.
Partial proceeds from the concert will benefit the restoration project at The Universal Preservation Hall.
