The Royal Family concerns the drama-filled lives of a fictional theatrical clan based on the real life Barrymore family. While matriarch Fanny Cavendish plans a farewell tour, her leading lady daughter, Julie, has to choose between a dinner date and a first rehearsal - and just when matinee ideal brother Tony is on the lam for slugging a Hollywood director.  In the meantime, Fanny's granddaughter, Gwen, is thinking the unthinkable - chucking the whole thing to marry a stockbroker.  "Marriage isn't a career - it's an incident," sniffs Fanny.  But the show must go on - and so must the Cavendish tradition. 

Making up the cast of veterans and newcomers to Schenectady Civic's stage are: Jean T. Carney, James Dick, Richard Harte, Pat Hoffman, Stephanie G. Insogna, John Massaroni, Randy McConnagh, John J. Quinan, Richard Michael Roe, Joanne Westervelt, Bryant Williams, and Benita Zahn.
