[Capdist-announce] Confetti Stage honored as only 3 other Albany area theatre groups have been so far!!

This past weekend, Confetti Stage became only the 4th Capital / Saratoga Region Community Theatre company to be awarded the Best Long (or Short) Production at the Theatre Association of New York State (TANYS) Festval.  Schenectady Light Opera Company in 1989, Home Made Theatre Company in 1990, and Albany Civic Theatre in 1996 and 2000 received this honor (see listing at bottom of this message.) 

Confetti Stage returned from the TANYS Festival, held in Batavia, NY having been honored with the Best Long Production Award for Dog Sees God: Confessions of a Teenage Blockhead, by Bert V. Royal & directed by Neilson R. Jones.

Also representing the Capital Region at TANYS Festival was Circle Theatre Players.  The Stand In received the Runner Up Award for Best Short Production.  Congratulations to everyone at Circle Theatre Players for a job well done!
