Vaudeville & Burlesque:  Throughout the Ages!



A Vaudeville & Burlesque show was last performed at the Glove in 2009 to a 
packed, fan-crazed house.  Prior to that, the last time that Vaudeville hit 
Gloversville was in 1948. Vaudeville returned to the Glove Theatre with five 
big acts direct from Hollywood, radio and television. The headliner was 
Buddy Ebsen of the Beverly Hillbillys and  international star of stage and 
screen. Also on the bill were Ted and Art Miller, Burton and Janet, 
Ronald-Rogers and Kay & Kay; all well known in their day.  Today we're going 
to give the audiences a view of evolution, Burlesque style. Slip back in 
time, let loose, laugh and get a little naughty as the Glove rediscovers its 
Vaudeville & Burlesque roots March 2nd & 3rd at 8:00pm and March 4th at 
2:00pm at The Glove Performing Arts Center, 42 North Main Street, 
Gloversville.  Come with us and celebrate an evening of great entertainment.
