And Then There Were None Opens at HMT!

 

Home Made Theater continues their 27th season with Agatha Christie's AND
THEN THERE WERE NONE at the Spa Little Theater in the Saratoga Spa State
Park. The show runs weekends February 10th through February 26th. 

Agatha Christie is the grand mistress of the "whodunit."  AND THEN THERE
WERE NONE is one of her best.  Christie creates fascinating, interesting,
infuriating, and intriguing characters and then bumps them off one by one by
one, all according to the rules of a funny old nursery rhyme. but who did
it?   The only possible answer seems impossible.  Will there really be
"none?"  If they all die where is the mysterious murderer?  What is the
secret of this island and its beautiful house?  Christie keeps you guessing
until the startling finale.

The director of AND THEN THERE WERE NONE is Dianne O'Neill Filer who has
directed and costumed numerous shows around the world.  She has an MFA in
Theater from Sarah Lawrence College and served on the Board of Cameo Theater
and The Acting Company of Greenwich for many years.  Dianne taught drama at
Brunswick School and Greenwich Academy for 20 years and most recently taught
art and drama at the Doan Stuart School in Albany.  

The cast of AND THEN THERE WERE NONE includes Max Beyer as Anthony Marsden,
Victor Cahn as Sir Lawrence Wargrave, Nicholas Casey as Fred Narracot,
Marilyn Detmer as Emily Brent, Jonathan Hefter as Philip Lombard, Kasey
Kenyon as William Blore, Robin Leary as Ethel Rogers, William M. Sanderson
as General MacKenzie, Kat McCarthy as Vera Claythorn, Charles Fitz-Gerald as
Dr. Armstrong, and Barry Streifert as Tom Rogers.  The artistic team for AND
THEN THERE WERE NONE includes scenic designer William E. Fritz, lighting
designer Kyle VanSandt, costume designer Linda Bertrand, sound designer
Barry Streifert, and properties designer Mary Fran Hughes.

Performances are Fridays and Saturdays, February 10, 11, 17, 18, 24, and 25
at 8:00pm. Matinees are Sundays, February 19 and 26 at 2:00pm.  An optional
dinner or brunch package is available at the Gideon Putnam for an additional
$24 per person plus tax and gratuity.  Dinner is available prior to the
evening performances and brunch is available prior to the Sunday
performances.  Ticket prices are $23 and $26. For reservations or further
