*WAM Theatre holds Summer ‘Stratford’ Theatre Workshop*

Kristen van Ginhoven, WAM’s Artistic Director, will teach a workshop over
the summer where she will share what she learned while recently working at
the Stratford Shakespeare Festival of Canada. The workshop will be offered
June 18 in Schenectady, NY at Proctor’s Theatre and July 22 at Eleven in
Great Barrington, MA. The workshop will explore classical text analysis
and character development as well as revisit the physical and vocal warm-up
and how to work on a thrust stage. Workshop is appropriate for actors and
directors. Everyone will be asked to bring a classical monologue,
preferably in verse. No prep on monologue is required. All levels of
experience are welcome.

Portion of proceeds from the workshop will go towards WAM’s fall production
