Kristen van Ginhoven, WAM Theatre’s Artistic Director, will teach a
workshop on Monday, June 18, from 4pm-6:30pm at the Fenimore Gallery at
Proctor's where she will share what she learned while recently working at
the Stratford Shakespeare Festival of Canada.

The workshop will explore classical text analysis and character development
as well as revisit the physical and vocal warm-up and how to work on a
thrust stage. Workshop is appropriate for actors and directors. Everyone
will be asked to bring a classical monologue, preferably in verse. No prep
on monologue is required. All levels of experience are welcome.

While at Stratford Kristen was assistant director on *42nd Street*,
directed by Gary Griffin (Broadway’s The Color Purple). She is also a
participant in the Stratford Michael Langham Workshop for Classical
Direction. She holds an MA in Theatre Education from Emerson College and
co-founded WAM Theatre in 2010.
