The Ghent Playhouse, Columbia County New York’s community theatre announces its 38th season of five plays and musicals: October 2012 – June 2013.
 
THE COUNTESS
by Gregory Murphy
Dates:  October 12-28, 2012
 
A Victorian Age psychological thriller of obsession, beauty and madness.  This chronicle of the Pre-Raphaelite painter John Everett Millais, the English art critic John Ruskin and his wife, Effie, paints a true picture of the cruelty and scandal that devoured their lives.

ROBIN HOOD AND HIS MERRY MEN – Our 13th Annual Panto
By Judy Staber and the PantoLoons
Dates: November 23 – December 9, 2012
 
Robin Hood and his men have returned to rob the rich and give back to the poor. Robin and friends rescue Maid Marion and Maude Lynn from the dastardly Sheriff of Nottingham and his evil sidekicks with the help of a mysterious hermit.

ALMOST, MAINE

Can you spell "hilarious?"  The 6 kids vying for the spelling bee trophy sure can!  Who knew that the angst-filled, stress-driven, winner-take-all world of a Junior High spelling competition could be this much fun?

The Ghent Playhouse is located at 6 Town Hall Place, right off Route 66.
Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m.
