**A groundbreaking work in American theatre, Ms. Hansberry's play crosses
through lines of color to reveal the struggle of a family. Lena Younger,
the matriarch, maintains the structure of her home with humor, love and
strength. A household which has three generations in three rooms. Her
children, Walter Lee and Beneatha, maneuver themselves through the
labyrinth of racism. Bennie wishes to express her "self" and Walter Lee
dreams being the man being driven in a fine car. Ruth and Travis Younger,
Walter Lee's wife and son, round out the this complex yet loving family. Be
a part of this historical event in community theatre of the Capital Region.
