Local Businesses Show Their Support "Workin' 9 to 5"
With Home Made Theater
Home Made Theater recently teamed up with local Saratoga businesses to
celebrate their 28th season's opener, 9 TO 5: THE MUSICAL. The show was
originally on Broadway in 2009 with music and lyrics by Dolly Parton, and
book by Patricia Resnick. Some brave and talented individuals gave singing
the Dolly Parton classic their best shot - while "workin' 9 to 5."
Stewart's Shops, Elliott Masie, Adirondack Dental Group, Impressions of
Saratoga, LOFT, USPS, Empire State College, The Posie Peddler, DeLucia's
Grocery & Deli, and Circus Cafe all participated in support of the theater.
They allowed HMT to film them on the job. HMT then compiled the footage to
create the promotional video. Nearly 700 people have viewed the video
that's been up on YouTube and countless others on HMT's Facebook page. It
can be seen here <http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Rlb1g-EcLE>

Like the video, 9 TO 5: THE MUSICAL's cast and crew are made up entirely
of members of the greater Saratoga Springs community. The musical is a
side-splitting story of friendship and revenge in the Rolodex era. Three
unlikely ladies conspire to take control of their company and learn there's
nothing they can't do - even in a man's world. Outrageous,
thought-provoking and even a little romantic, 9 TO 5 is about teaming up and
taking care of business. it's about getting credit and getting even.
The show runs weekends October 12th through the 28th at the Spa Little
Theater in Saratoga Spa State Park. Performances are Fridays and Saturdays
at 8:00 p.m., October 12, 13, 19, 20, 26 and 27. Matinees are on Sundays at
2:00 p.m. October 21 and 28. An optional dinner package is available at
Longfellows Restaurant prior to evening performances and after matinees for
an additional $19.96 per person plus tax and gratuity. Ticket prices are
$26 and $29. Tickets can be purchased online at the HMT web site,
<http://www.homemadetheater.org/> www.homemadetheater.org, in person during
box office hours, or by calling HMT at (518) 587-4427.
