Mastergate is a tour de force political satire by Larry Gelbart, the creator of TV's M*A*S*H. Double speak and triple speak rule the day in this wickedly funny view of the Iran-Contra Senate hearings. One performance only, it is part of this season's free series celebrating the Playhouse's 85th anniversary. Mastergate is the latest "gate" scandal.  Gelbart has fashioned this satiric farce as a congressional hearing looking into shady dealings between a film studio and the White House.  Newsweek calls it "scathingly funny."

Featured are veteran Schenectady Civic and area actors Jessica Callahan, Bill Depew, Jennifer Depew, David Dixon, Sara Fittizzi, Bill Hickman, Jeffrey Hocking, Nate Hoffmann, Rita Russell, Dick Shave, and  Don Wheeler.
