THEATRE INSTITUTE at SAGE ANNOUNCES A FREE OPEN HOUSE 
AND NEW COLLABORATION 
WITH 
THE BLUE HORSE REPERTORY COMPANY
 FOR STUDENT PROGRAMS









Meader Little Theatre located on the Russell Sage College campus in Troy, NY.







TROY- The Theatre Institute at Sage will continue to offer its popular Student Programs in the New Year – Saturdays On-Stage, Vacation On-Stage programs, and two summer camps - and are pleased to announce several new classes in cooperation with Blue Horse Repertory Company.

An Open House will be held on Saturday, Sept 15 in the Meader Little Theatre located on the Russell Sage College campus in Troy, NY. Interested adults and children and their families are welcome at 11:oo am-1pm to meet instructors and fellow  
students and partake in a free  introductory workshop.

Theatre Institute at Sage (TIS) is dedicated to providing quality live theatre and arts-in-education programming to Capital Region students, teachers and residents. Programs include educational support services for productions including study guides, in-class preparations, teacher in-services and school residencies. TIS is under the direction of Michael Musial, Chair of Sage’s Department of Arts and Letters and NYS Theatre Institute veterans and Sage Teaching Artists-in-Residence David Bunce. Programs are taught by a combination of Sage staff, students and consultants.

In addition, The Blue Horse Repertory Company will also offer a 1-hour complimentary workshop for prospective adult students (18-up).  Call 845 721-2493 for information about this workshop.

The Blue Horse Rep’s Artistic Director Lora Lee Ecobelli will conduct the workshop which will include theatre games and a introduction to her unique acting program "Discover The Actor Inside" in a fun, relaxed and supportive atmosphere. ( Please dress in comfortable clothes that allow you to move freely.)

This free workshop is a prelude to the ongoing 8 week adult classes currently available at SAGE and taught by Ms. Ecobelli. 

The special event is open to beginners, intermediate and advanced actors who are serious about developing their craft.

Ms. Ecobelli is an award winning Broadway and Off Broadway actress, writer and teacher. 

Her unique acting technique has been widely praised and is extremely popular thru out the Capital District and the Hudson Valley. 

THE BLUE HORSE REPERTORY COMPANY is a new and innovative professional theatre company. It is an inclusive collage of professional actors, writers and musicians dedicated to the development of new work, the performance of classics and the creation of teaching and outreach programs for adults, seniors and people with special needs. Blue Horse Rep is strongly committed to our local citizens and will always strive to insure and support quality theatre in the Hudson Valley, Capital District and beyond.
