Pippilotta Delicatessa Windowshade Mackrelmint Ephraim's Daughter
Longstocking lives a kid's dream life, answering to no one and doing as she
pleases as mistress of Villa Villekulla. Bending iron bars as easily as she
bends rules, Pippi rallies friends Tommy and Annika into tormenting
civilized adults and teaching less-civilized ones a lesson. Uproarious and
glorious, it's a musical production filled with joy, rabble-rousing and
adventure.

Directed by Steamer No.10's Ric Chesser, with Musical Direction by Rebecca
Benjamin Pippi Longstocking features Steamer No.10s professional actors -
David Benjamin, Charity Buckbee, Jennifer Lefsyk, and John Mac Schnurr -
working alongside several community performers and teens from the Bethlehem
Schools, as well as students from across the Capital Region who have
participated in Steamer No.10's CAST program.

Workforce Development Institute presents On Her Shoulders

May 11 at 2 pm & 8 pm

  This multi-media performance takes its viewers on a journey weaving
through the lives and experiences of nine extraordinary women veterans. The
veterans and local high school girls attended a one-day workshop led by
community theater artist, Noelle Gentile at the Albany VA, where the
students interviewed the women about their lives and listened to their
experiences in the military. Since the workshop, the students have
participated in weekly rehearsals acting out the women's lives. The
performance's goal is to increase public awareness and to open an
intergenerational dialogue between civilians and veterans centering on the
active duty service of military women and on their experiences of work and
family as they re-entered civilian life and returned home.
