[Capdist-announce] Grease is the Word!

The Ballston Spa Middle School's drama club, Launching Pad Productions, is in rehearsal for this year's production of Grease: School Version. Re-written for a general audience by the original writers, Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey, this abridged version retains the fun-loving spirit and immortal songs that make Grease a favorite among rock and roll fans of all ages.


Featuring a cast of nearly 60 students and a crew of almost 80, this is sure to be another Launching Pad show you will not want to miss. A few featured roles include Abby Yettru as Sandy Dumbrowski, Dane Andersen as Danny Zuko, Hannah Downs as Rizzo, and Caleb Andersen as Kenickie. The show is directed by teachers Matt Lopez and Joe Shaver with music direction by Elizabeth "Cookie" Sears, and choreography by Abby Todd.


Show opens January 31 at 7:00 in the Ballston Spa High School Auditorium (220 Ballston Avenue, Ballston Spa, NY 12020) followed by five more performances: February 1 at 1:00 and 7:00, February 7 at 7:00 and February 8 at 1:00 and 7:00. Tickets are general admission and cost $7.00 each. Tickets may be purchased at the door before each show.
