Theatre Uncut was created to get people thinking, talking and taking action on the events that are happening in the world around them.

We will be joining others around the world and performing dramatic readings of 7 of Theatre Uncut's original plays. This year included in the collection are six new pieces by Turkish and British writers exploring the events surrounding Gezi (http://ChannelZProductions.us5.list-manage.com/track/click?u=37c2b17e303146bdc3cd8ec41&id=acc6e95fce&e=5d6ee8162a) Park. This years theme:

Theatre Uncut was created to get people thinking, talking and taking action on the events that are happening in the world around them.

The idea is simple. Playwrights from a selection of countries are asked to write brand new short plays in response to their current political situation. These scripts are then made available for anyone to perform anywhere for a limited period.

Theatre Uncut plays have been performed by over 3,000 people in 17 countries across four continents and contributing writers include Mark Ravenhill, Lucy Kirkwood and Neil LaBute.

Theatre Uncut is run by artistic directors Emma Callander and Hannah Price in the UK.
