“LAUGHTER ON THE 23rd FLOOR” RESCHEDULED FOR SUNDAY, MARCH 1 at SCHNECTADY CIVIC PLAYHOUSE

SCHENECTADY – Neil Simon’s Laughter on the 23rd will now be presented as a free staged reading Sunday, March 1, at 2:30 p.m. at the Schenectady Civic Playhouse, 12 So. Church Street, in Schenectady historic Stockade district. ( Originally scheduled for February 15, that performance was cancelled due to severe weather conditions). One performance only, it is part of a series celebrating the Playhouse’s 87th season.


Laughter on the 23rd Floor is inspired by Neil Simon's youthful experience as a staff writer of Sid Caesar's "Your Show of Shows" and depicts all the attendant comic drama as the harried writing staff frantically scrambles to top each other with gags while competing for the attention of star madman"Max Prince".

The local Capital Area cast, directed by John Quinan, features John Mac Schnurr, Gary Hoffmann, Michael Schaefer, Chuck Conroy, Tom Templeton, Joanna Palladino, Randy McConnach, Jenn Bullington, and Michael Silvia.
