“REAL LIFE: THE IMPROV” FEATURES LOCAL CELEBRITIES IN NEW FORMAT

Portion of proceeds of biographical, improvised shows to go to charity

 

The Mop & Bucket Improvisational Theatre Company (Mopco) is embarking on a six week run of their newest format—with some help from their friends.

 

“Real Life: The Improv” features interviews with local celebrities, interspersed with improvised responses by the company.  Each week will feature a new guest.  A portion of the proceeds from each show will be donated to the honoree’s favorite charity.  Friday nights, 8 PM, Underground at Proctors, January 9-February 13. January 9: Jeremy Buechner, actor, director, writer, founder, Local Actors’ Guild of Saratoga

January 16: Richard Lovrich, Creative Director, Proctors, photographer and writer

January 23: Janet Tanguay, Entrepreneurial Assistance Program, Albany-Colonie Chamber, founder, Art & Soul

January 30: Jack McEneny, former assemblyman, historian

February 6: Kevin Scholz, known to morning 99.5 listeners as Kevin Rush

February 13: Corey Jamison, executive coach and noted organizational development specialist

 

Charities to receive benefit include

The Mathew Shepard Foundation, the Alpha-1 Foundation, Camp Little Notch, and the Children’s Hospital at Albany Med. (two more TBA)

 

The Mop & Bucket Co. has been the improv company in residence at Proctors for eight years. In addition to their regular Friday night shows, the company teaches classes for youth and adults at Mopco World Headquarters, 309 Union Street in Schenectady. The company offers private performances, corporate and educational entertainment, and corporate and organizational development programs with its sister company, Koppett & Co.
