*OPENING IN ONE WEEK!*

*Theater Voices* will present a staged reading of *Buffalo Gal* by A.R.
Gurney, directed by David Baecker.

         Performances will be held at Steamer No. 10 Theatre, 500 Western
Avenue, Albany on Friday May 15 at 8:00 pm; Saturday May 16 at 3:00 pm and
8:00 pm: and Sunday May 17 at 3:00 pm. Admission is free. House opens half
hour before curtain.

         Amanda, a well-known TV actress, returns to her hometown of
Buffalo to portray Madame Ranevskaya in a production of *The Cherry Orchard*.
She seeks to boost her declining career, while the play’s director hopes
that her star power will improve sales at the struggling regional theater. Like
the sentimental character in the play, Amanda has come home to revisit the
world that shaped her. There are surprises in store as old friends turn up,
and new offers from Hollywood beckon.

         Included in the cast are:

         This staged reading production of *Buffalo Gal* marks one of
several A.R. Gurney plays that have been presented to appreciative Theater
Voices audiences. Included are *Later Life, The Cocktail Hour, Ancestral
Voices, A Cheever Evening*, and most recently, *Black Tie.*

         Theater Voices is is a not-for-profit organization under IRS 501C

Council on the Arts COMMUNITY ART$GRANTS.
