Little Shop of Horrors continues its run at The Ghent Playhouse

Opening weekend audiences loved it!

The Ghent Playhouse stage is Mushnik’s Flower Shop on Skid ...Row as the
Playhouse began its 41st Season with Little Shop of Horrors. The play
continues its run this Friday, October 9 through Sunday, October 25 with
performances Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sunday afternoons at 2
p.m.

What do you feed a plant that promises to make all your dreams come true?
Mix up a big batch of rock and roll, black comedy and Motown. Add some
horror, doo-wop and crazy characters. Finish the zany concoction with
infectious songs and gallons of blood. What could possibly go wrong?
Inspired by the 1960 science fiction film by Roger Corman, the script and
lyrics for Little Shop of Horrors were penned by Howard Ashman. Allen
Menken composed the music. This musical had an extended off-Broadway run
and continues to delight audiences anywhere it plays!

This production at the Playhouse is directed by Michael Mensching and
produced by Joanne Peal with Musical Direction by Joanne Mensching. The set
was designed by Michael McDermott with costumes by Joanne Mauer.

Tickets are $20 each, $17 for Friends of the Playhouse and $10 for Students
