“OPERATION SUPERPOWER”…. a Children’s Opera!

SCHENECTADY – Children and their families of all ages are invited to Opera 
Saratoga’s “Opera to Go” production of OPERATION SUPERPOWER at the Schenectady Civic Playhouse, 12 So. Church Street, Schenectady, on Saturday, February 20, at 2:30 p.m. 
 
OPERATION SUPERPOWER is a short fun and interactive original program that 
delivers a powerful message and inspires young audiences of all ages to discover their own superpowers and to follow their dreams!  Operation Superpower takes a stand against bullying by promoting the five essential elements of being a superhero: courage, hope, honesty, imagination and friendship. 
 
 In a world where entertainment for children can be primarilytelevision,video 
games and the Internet, Opera Saratoga’s Opera-to-Go program provides youth with an all-too-rare opportunity to experience the visceral thrill of the live performing arts, up close and personal! 
 
This performance,  free of charge and open to the public,has been
underwritten by Schenectady Civic Players’ Gwen E. Fraser Fund to give back to the community and excite young people on the magic of the arts. 
 
A cookies and punch reception follows. Admission is free. Open seating. No 
advance reservations. 382-2081.
