*OPENS TOMORROW - ONE WEEKEND ONLY!*


*THEATER VOICES* will present a staged reading of *The Birthday Party *by
Harold Pinter, directed by David M. Girard. Performances will be held at
Steamer No. 10 Theatre, 500 Western Avenue, Albany, NY on *Friday October
14 at 8:00 pm; Saturday October 15 at 3:00 pm and 8:00 pm; and Sunday
October 16 at 3:00 pm.* Admission is free.


When two unknown guests arrive at a seaside boarding house, the innkeeper's
dotty wife arranges a spontaneous birthday party for Stanley, the sole
boarder. What starts out as a seemingly innocent party, rapidly turns into
a threatening and not so lighthearted celebration with Stanley becoming its
unwilling subject.


Harold Pinter’s absurdist drama, filled with overtones both comic and
menacing, rarely fails to entertain.
