Penned by Tony Schwartz and Marylou Ambrose*, Eat**, Drink, and
Be Murdered* involves two feuding Irish families trying to get their hands
on the family whiskey recipe. It takes place at the 80th birthday party of
family matriarch Grandma Rose, which the feuding McFaddens and O’Rileys are
throwing in her honor. The trouble is, the two clans have hated each other
for decades, that hatred escalating when Rose, an O’Riley, married a
McFadden and gave him the O’Riley secret whiskey recipe. Now the McFaddens
are filthy rich, and the O’Rileys are forced to work for them at the
distillery.

Audience members will get to cheer and boo as the two feuding
families go after each other, and the plot twists and turns even more when
it’s revealed that the cunning Grandma Rose has kept one ingredient secret
all these years, a secret no one knows but her.

Will Grandma Rose ever divulge the secret ingredient, or will she
die before it is revealed? It is up to the audience to keep eyes and ears
open because someone will meet an untimely death before the night is over,
and it’s up to the audience to solve the crime! A prize will be awarded to
the best sleuth.

The *Eat, Drink, and Be Murdered* cast features Schenectady Civic
Players and Capital area actors Jason Biszick, Susan Katz, Amy Sarah
LaMena, Amy Lane, Cristine M. Loffredo, Marty O'Connor, Rita Russell, and
Mike Schaefer.
