THE GAME'S AFOOT Opens at HMT!

 

Home Made Theater continues their 32nd season with Ken Ludwig's comedy, The
Game's Afoot. The show runs weekends February 11-26 at the Spa Little
Theater in Saratoga Spa State Park.

It's December 1936 and Broadway star William Gillette, admired the world
over for portraying Sherlock Holmes, has invited his fellow castmates to his
Connecticut castle for the weekend. But when one of the guests is stabbed to
death, the festivities quickly turn dangerous. It's then up to Gillette
himself, as he assumes the persona of his beloved Holmes, to track down the
killer before there's another victim. The danger and hilarity are non-stop
in this glittering whodunit!

The Director of The Game's Afoot is HMT veteran Michael McDermott. The
artistic team includes Scenic Designer Kevin Miller, Lighting Designer Kyle
Van Sandt, Costume Designer Linda Bertrand, Sound Designer Tom Moeller, and
Properties Designer Anne-Marie Baker.

The cast of The Game's Afoot includes Brian Avery as William Gillette, Max
Beyer as Simon Bright, Ron De Lucia as Felix Geisel, Mary Ellen Dowling as
Martha Gillette, Robin Leary as Inspector Goring, Joan Meyer as Madge
Geisel, Sara Paupini as Daria Chase, and Melinda Richner as Aggie Wheeler.

Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m., February 11, 17, 18,
24, 25. Matinees are on Sundays at 2:00 p.m., February 12, 19, 26. An
optional dinner package is available at The Gideon Putnam prior to evening
performances and a brunch package prior to matinees for an additional $27
per person plus tax and gratuity.

Tickets for the show are $27 and $24, and can be purchased online at the HMT
web site, www.homemadetheater.org , in person during box office hours, or by
calling HMT at (518) 587-4427. Dining reservations for The Gideon Putnam
should be made by calling HMT at 587-4427.
