          The fourth play of Schenectady Civic Players’ 90th Anniversary
Season, *Other Desert Cities *by Jon Robin Baitz, and directed by Jennifer
Van Iderstyne, opens Friday, March 16, and plays through Sunday, March 25
at its 12 South Church Street Playhouse in Schenectady’s historic Stockade
district.


           Brooke Wyeth returns home to Palm Springs after a six-year
absence to celebrate Christmas with her family. She announces that she is
about to publish a memoir, dredging up a pivotal and tragic event in the
family’s history- a wound that they don’t want reopened. In effect, she
draws a line in the sand and dares them all to cross it. They are forced to
reveal a painful secret to her, in order to prevent the public from finding
the truth.

​          The Civic Players cast features Ellen Cribbs (*as Brooke Wyeth*),
James Gavin (*as Trip Wyeth*), Rick Reed (*as Lyman Wyeth*), Pat Brady (*as
Polly Wyeth*), and Patti Noble (*as Silda Grauman*).

*           Other Desert Cities *runs Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (March  16,
17, and 18) and Wednesday through Sunday (March 21 through 25).  Friday and
Saturday curtains are at 8 pm. Wednesday and Thursday curtains are at 7:30
pm., and Sundays are matinees only at 2:30 pm.
