	RIPCORD, A “COMEDY WITH HEART”, 

	SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 4, AT SCHENECTADY CIVIC PLAYHOUSE 

	SCHENECTADY – RIPCORD_, “_a_ _Golden Girls meets Odd Couple
comedy with heart”_ _by David Lindsay-Abaire, and directed by Sara
Paupini,_ _will be presented as a staged reading Sunday, November 4,
at 2:30 p.m. at the Schenectady Civic Playhouse, 12 So. Church Street,
in Schenectady’s historic Stockade district. One performance only,
it is part of a special series celebrating Schenectady Civic
Players’ 91st season. 

	 A sunny room on an upper floor is prime real estate in the Bristol
Place Senior Living Facility, so when the cantankerous Abby is forced
to share her quarters with new-arrival Marilyn, she has no choice but
to get rid of the infuriatingly chipper woman by any means necessary.
A seemingly harmless bet between the old women quickly escalates into
a dangerous game of one-upmanship that reveals not just the tenacity
of these worthy opponents, but also deeper truths that each would
rather remain hidden.

Brady, Jeanette Horowitz, Susan Katz, Knathan Mackenzie-Roy, Aileem
Penn, Angelique Powell and David Quinones.
