Theater Voices will present a staged reading of “Circle Mirror
Transformation,” Annie Baker’s award-winning play about a collection of
strangers who sign up to take an adult creative drama class in a small New
England town. Directed by Jacqueline Donnaruma, performances will be held
on Friday, February 15 at 8pm; Saturday, February 16 at 3pm and 8pm; and
Sunday, February 17 at 3pm. All performances are at Steamer No. 10 Theatre,
500 Western Avenue, Albany. Admission is free.

The play's characters end up forming relationships of various kinds over
the course of the six weeks they are together. Playwright Annie Baker
describes the work as "a strange little naturalistic meditation on theater
and life and death and the passing of time," while the New York Times said:
“By the play’s end we seem to see to the very bottom of these souls, and
feel how the artificial intimacy of the acting class has shaped their lives
in substantial ways.”

The Theater Voices production features actors Sivan Adler, Mary Jane
Hansen, Steve King, Lucy Miller and Tony Pallone. Stage manager is Eleah
Jayne Peal.
