best of Albany's gardens! Selections from Shakespeare presented by the
talented cast of Confetti Stage.

What better way to spend a summer's afternoon? Join us in some of the
finest gardens in Albany while enjoying the finest of Shakespeare! The
Albany County Historical Association is pleased to partner with Confetti
Stage to present "Shakespeare Shorts: Monologues in the Ten Broeck
Gardens." Selections from Shakespeare will be performed in the gardens of
the Ten Broeck Mansion, 9 Ten Broeck Place, Albany, on *Saturday August 28
from 2:30-3:30 pm*. The event features some of Shakespeare’s most memorable
scenes with a talented cast.
One donation = one ticket. Please be generous - tickets are by donation to
help support the arts at Ten Broeck. No tickets will be at the door. Rain
date Sunday August 29 from 2:30-3:30 pm. No refunds.
The ACHA and Confetti Stage are following recommended health protocols to
ensure visitor safety.
Audience members are asked to bring a face mask, and asked to bring their
own blanket or lawn chairs. Face masks will be required for face-to-face
interactions (e.g. checking in, buying concessions). Facemasks can be
removed when seated.
Audience members will be guided to spaces 6’ apart per household.
Concessions (water, drinks, snacks) will be sold to help support the ACHA.
No alcoholic beverages or additional food may be brought in.
Scenes include selections from “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” and “The Taming
of the Shrew,” among other Shakespearian favorites. The company will be
available for a short question and answer session after the show

Confetti Stage is a Capital District nonprofit theater group founded in
2004. The Ten Broeck Mansion was built in 1798 for Abraham and Elizabeth
Ten Broeck. The ACHA was founded in 1942 to preserve, present, promote, and
interpret the stories of the rich and diverse history and culture of Albany
County. Its four-acre museum site includes the Mansion, gardens, and
exhibit and gallery space at King's Place. For more information see the
