COPAKE, NY --The Two Of Us Productions, the award winning theater company
based in Columbia County NY, is pleased to kick off their 2021 Virtual
Live-Staged Reading Series with two exciting radio dramas from Suspense
Theater:  Drive-In Restaurant; and The Dark Journey.   This performance, the
first of a Winter series of 5 dramatic evenings of live theater, is being
presented on Saturday evening January 23rd, 2021 at 7:00pm in collaboration
with Friends Of The Copake Grange  

In Drive-In Restaurant - we meet two hard working waitresses, Millie & Ruth.
It is late on a rainy night & Millie is looking forward to catching a bus
home at the end of her shift.  An impatient customer offers Millie a ride to
the bus stop & Ruth kindly agrees to cover the end of their work shift.
Millie tries to not panic when the car she is riding in doesn't pull over at
her bus stop but continues driving into the dark & lonely night!   

In The Dark Journey we meet two close friends, Ann & Alice.  Alice is
concerned with the strangely intense, long-distance love affair her friend
Ann is having with Mr. Clyde Dexter.  After the two friends travel all the
way to New York City to meet with Clyde, they are more than a little
surprised that Clyde seems to be avoiding Ann.  As Alice tries to comfort
Ann, she's shocked to hear Ann say that she has a secret mental power that
can help her hold onto Clyde!

The Two Of Us Productions is well known throughout the Hudson Valley for
presenting quality theater, both musicals and dramas.  Their recent
productions of Sweeney Todd, Young Frankenstein, Deathtrap, Chicago, Les
Miserables, next to normal, Mamma Mia! and Jesus Christ Superstar were all
recognized by the Theatre Association of NYS with multiple awards, including
outstanding work by the company & outstanding performance by the orchestra.
Reviews of their recent virtual live-staged readings of three Arthur Miller
scripts; All My Sons, Broken Glass, and an adaption of An Enemy Of The
People; will appear in upcoming editions of The Arthur Miller Journal.
