Harbinger wants as many women as possible to hear the story of this
little-known pioneering feminist so we are throwing a party called Ladies
Night, hosted by Laura Graver, which will feature small fare, sweets, cider
and over $1,000 in prizes all for your $15 admission fee.

The festivities will start at 6:30 with the performance at 7:30. Every
woman attending will be issued a FREE raffle ticket but if you would like
to buy more to increase your chances of winning the massage or Barbra
Bundle…we won’t stop you.

 In 1861 Elizabeth Packard was forcibly removed from her house and legally
committed to an insane asylum by her minister husband for disagreeing with
him publicly. She spent the next three years in deplorable conditions
documenting her abuse which secured her freedom and set her on a path to
reform the country’s mental health institutions. She wrote her way out.

Harbinger’s 11th consecutive Capital Region Premiere sees the company
undertaking its largest and most challenging work yet with 16 speaking
roles filled by many of the most experienced and respected actors in the
Capital Region. It is a gripping drama that will infuriate you that women
could be treated like this and you might never have heard about it...and
that so many instances of the shameful subjugation of women continues to
go on today.
