[Capdist-announce] March “SoloFest” Coming to Catskill’s Bridge Street Theatre

Catskill’s Bridge Street Theatre has leapt into 2023 with both feet.
Auditions and casting for their previously announced five-play Mainstage
Subscription Season are currently under way. An ongoing series of Artist
Residencies are keeping things hoppin’ in January and February. February
will also find the theatre hosting this year’s first new play reading by
Saugerties’ Round the Bend Theatre. Catskill High School’s Student Fashion
Show takes over the complex in early March. Then things really kick into
high gear! Beginning March 10 and continuing Fridays through Sundays for
four successive weekends, the theatre will present “SoloFest” – a
mini-Festival of four original one-person plays on BST’s “Priscilla”
Mainstage, with three performances of a new show every week. You’ll find
something for everyone in THIS eclectic, innovative and diverse line-up:

March 10 – 12:  THE VILLAGE CIDIOT written and performed by Lauren
Letellier; Directed by Martha Wollner, Artwork by Michael Thomas Holmes

Everyone from long-time Hudson Valley locals to recent COVID-era
transplants will find something to relate to in this fish-out-of-water
story about a woman from NYC attempting to cope with re-locating upstate.

March 17 – 19:  THIS SOIL, THESE SEEDS... written and performed by Bonita

When a Black drama therapist sets out to help three strangers with their
mother-daughter issues, she unearths multi-generational trauma that sends
all of them into an unexpected family intervention.

March 24 – 26:  SPINNING MY WHEELS written and performed by Michael
Garfield Levine; Directed by Caitlin Langstaff; Photo: Roy Gumpel

This roller coaster of a ride takes us from the streets and theaters of New
York to the hills of Vermont, into the depths of Michael’s psyche as he
battles mental illness and addiction, and back up to sanity whilst
encountering a host of unsavory and masterful characters.

March 30 – April 2  ALONE: STORIES FROM EDGAR ALLAN POE created and
performed by Daniel Hall Kuhn

The horror, the horror! Poems and tales from America's master of the
macabre come thrillingly to life in this one-man show created and performed
by an actor BST audiences will recognize from “Lewiston” and “Shelley's
Shadow”.

Tickets for individual shows in “SoloFest” are priced at $25, but you can
purchase a Festival Pass for admission to all four plays for only $75 –
that’s four shows for the price of three! Subscribers to Bridge Street
Theatre’s 2023 Mainstage Season will receive an even further discount, with
individual tickets going for $20 and a Festival Pass for $60. And Students
ages 18 and under will be admitted for only $10 per show. For more
