small, but vibrant performing arts organization that produces an annual
season of theater, music, storytelling and community programs from April to

The position is being funded through a grant from the New York State
Council for the Arts. We strongly encourage individuals that have not been

*Administrative Coordinator*

*Job description *
Ancram Opera House Theater seeks a collaborative, well-organized, and
detail-oriented individual to serve as Administrative Coordinator, a
part-time position. This is a hybrid work opportunity with responsibilities
to be carried out remotely and onsite. While there is some flexibility as
to where and when the work is done, there is a standing weekly staff
meeting held over Zoom and a set day and time for working on-site is
preferred. The hire will be engaged on an independent contractor basis at a
retainer fee of $1,000/month for an estimated 10-12 hours of work each
week. The position is to begin March 1.

*Specific responsibilities include:*
Account payables and receivables

   - Paying bills
   - Processing / paying out-of-pocket expense reimbursements
   - Depositing checks

Payroll & contracting

   - Managing payroll for one salaried employee
   - Processing union contracts (Actors’ Equity, United Scenic Artists,
   Stage Directors)
   - Preparing and processing non-union letters of agreement
   - Collecting W9s and filing 1099s for independent contractors
   - Responding to any unemployment or workers compensation matters

Development

   - Preparing donor acknowledgement letters
   - Updating and maintaining patron records in CRM
   - Providing coordination support for fundraising events

General Administration

   - Attending weekly staff meeting
   - Maintaining shared administrative calendar / schedule
   - Responding to general inquiries
   - Organizing files
   - Supporting other administrative functions as time allows

Experience with Excel, Google Sheets, Quickbooks Online, and CRMs is needed
along with an appreciation for the role the arts can play in fostering
mutual understanding, connection, and a sense of community.
