Home Made Theater will have auditions on Tuesday and Wednesday, 
September 28 & 29 from 7-9 PM  for CHARLOTT'ES WEB at the Spa Little 
Theater in Saratoga.  No appointment necessary.  Please bring a 
current photo and resume.  Photos cannot be returned.

Read thru Oct. 24.  Rehearsals start November 7.  Production dates 
are December 10-19.

Character Descriptions:

Fern Arable - A young girl and Wilbur's first caregiver.  Caring, 
devoted and loyal.  Actress that can play 10-14.

John Arable -  Fern's father.  A farmer and loving father.  Spares 
Wilbur's life at his daughter's request.  Actor that can play 35-45.

Martha Arable -   Fern's mother.  Teaches Fern how to care for 
Wilbur.  Actress that can play 35-45.

Avery Arable - Fern's older brother.  Not as fond of Wilbur as Fern. 
Actor that can play 11-15.

Homer Zuckerman - Fern's uncle.  A farmer who buys Wilbur from the 
Arable's to fatten up and later slaughter.  Actor that can play 35-55.

Edith Zuckerman -  Fern's aunt.  Actor that can play 35-55.

Lurvy - Hired hand at the Zuckerman's farm.  Cares for Wilbur and is 
the first to see Charlotte's messages in her webs. Actor that can 
play 25-35.

Wilbur - A pig.  Born a runt, his life is spared by the Arable's and 
later by Charlotte.  Would be great if actor could do a back flip or 
break-dance.  Actor that could play 20-30.

Templeton - A rat, a scavenger and a loner who helps Charlotte after 
her profound persuasion.  Actor that can play 25-45.

Charlotte A. Cavatica - A spider who plans to save Wilbur's life. 
She is smart, loyal, focused and a persuasive motivator and teacher. 
An actress that can play 20-40.

Goose - Farm animal at the Zuckerman's Farm.  Prim and proper. Adult actress.

Gander - Farm animal at the Zuckerman's Farm.  Prim and proper. Adult actor.

Sheep - Farm animal at the Zuckerman's Farm.  Lamb's parent.  Tells 
Wilbur why the Zuckerman's are fattening him up.  Could be male or 
female.  Actor that could play 25-40.

Lamb - Farm animal at the Zuckerman's Farm.  Actor (male or female) 
that can play 7-11.

Uncle - A pig at the fair.  Actor must be physically bigger than 
Wilbur.  Very Confidant.  Actor will double as chorus member when 
possible.  Actor that can play 20 +

First, Second and Third Members - Narrators that double as a 
Reporter, Photographer, Spectators, Judge, Fairgoers, and an 
announcer, Actors that can play 20 +
