Clifton Park: Not So Common Players announces auditions for TWO BY TWO
on Sunday,  January 29th 1-4 PM and Monday, January 30th 7-10 PM at the
Locust Lane Clubhouse in Clifton Park.  Performance dates are: April
28-30 and May 5-7.  TWO BY TWO will be directed by Laura Andruski, with
musical direction by Pat Douglas.
 
Richard Rodgers entered his seventh decade of writing for the theatre
with TWO BY TWO.  It seems that the building of the ark was only the
first of Noah's many daunting challenges in a journey that wasn't always
smooth sailing. By turns inspirational and hilarious, we discover that
being chosen by God for great things does not necessarily simplify the
daily demands made of a father and husband. It's good fun and when the
land has dried, man and beast alike are invited to go forth and prosper
in a bright New World.  TWO BY TWO is an hilarious retelling of the
biblical tale of Noah, his family and the first and most famous cruise
in history. The play has been called, "One of Richard Rodgers finest
musicals...a show for everyone...rich in comedy, full of melody and that
rare ingredient, heart."

Willison, Harry Goz, Joan Copeland, Michael Karm and Tricia O'Neil

Noah, the biblical patriarch.  Baritone.  50s+
Esther, his long-suffering wife.  Alto-Mezzo.  50s+
Shem, the oldest son.  Materialistic; successful in the olive business.
Bass-baritone. 30s-40s
Ham, the prodigal middle son, who gambles and neglects his wife Rachel.
Tenor.  20-30s
Japheth, the youngest son.  The idealistic one, an angry young man who
still lives at home.  Tenor.  20s
Leah, wife to Shem.  Greedy and a bit shrewish.  Mezzo-soprano. 20-30s
Rachel unhappily married to Ham.  Soprano.  20s
Goldie, a Golden Girl from the nearby Temple of the Golden Ram.
Soprano.  20-30s
