Confetti Stage announces auditions for
 
The Emperor's New  Clothes
A Mediaeval Morality Play
by Blanche Marvin
 
This Fairytale Play was written as a parody of a meiaeval  morality play 
ranging from an elaborate madrigal mocking the Emperor to an  imaginary weaving of 
a hypocritical Court.  The French traditions of comedy  are incorporated from 
Moliere to Giraudoux.
 
Auditions will be held at the Confetti Stage  studio at
The Hilton Center for the Performing  Arts
40 Russell Road (next to Westgate  Plaza)
Sat., March 12, 2005
6:30 pm
 
There are roles for 
2 women
&
4 men
Payment possible for those cast.
 
Please prepare a 1 minute children's style monologue  and approximately 16 
measures of a madrigal or holiday carol solo to be sung a  cappella.
If unable to prepare, a monologue will be  provided
and you will be asked to sing a familiar holiday style  carol.
Also be prepared for cold readings of  exerts from the script.
 
Performance dates are scheduled for May 6,7,&8 at  the
Charles R Wood Theatre in Glens Falls,  NY
&
May 13,14,15,20,21,&22 at the
Hilton Center Theatre in Albany, NY
 
Rehearsals are scheduled to begin on March  19.
