STAGEWORKS/HUDSON HOLDS AUDITIONS FOR JESUS HOPPED THE 'A' TRAIN

 

Hudson, NY-Stageworks/Hudson, one among three professional theaters 
recognized as "Best Theater Company" in Metroland Magazine's "Best of 
2005," will hold auditions for the regional premiere of its upcoming 
production of "Jesus Hopped the 'A' Train."  Jesus is a gritty and 
compelling tale of redemption written by, Stephen Adley Giurgis, whom 
the NY TIMES calls the best playwright under forty years old. The play 
earned high acclaim in its successful run off-Broadway.  Under the 
direction of Stageworks veteran, Danielle Skraastad, Jesus Equity 
auditions will be held on Aug 1st and non-Equity auditions on Aug 2nd at 
Stageworks on 41 Cross St. in Hudson, New York. Actors will be seen by 
appointment only. Jesus goes into rehearsal Aug. 29, opens Sept. 21 and 
closes Oct. 9.  Giurgis' play is a passionate tale with tour-de-force 
roles for actors of varied ethnic backgrounds. For an appointment,
